Situated on the 5 star Limefitt Park in the picturesque Troutbeck Valley is the privately owned Glenwood Lodge. The lodge enjoys scenic views across the park, being in an elevated position. It is well fitted out throughout having central heating and double glazing. The park is set in the countryside but is only a short drive from the delightful villages of Grasmere, Bowness and Hawkshead, each having a selection of shops, cafes, and pubs.

The lodge sleeps up to four adults in the two bedrooms. The en suite master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin single beds. A cot can be provided for infants. The living area includes sofas, nest of tables, TV/ DVD, electric fire and a CD / Radio system complete with ipod docking. The dining area has an oak dining table and chairs and patio doors through which the decking can be reached. This is an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the views. The well appointed kitchen has all the features and appliances you would expect from a top class lodge

The park is a great destination for walkers of all abilities and has the River Troutbeck running through it. On site there is a small shop enabling visitors to stock up on fresh food, milk and daily baked bread. There is also an outdoor playground for the children to enjoy with sandpit and a climbing frame. This is a dog friendly park and well behaved animals are welcome at no extra charge. There is a dedicated dog walking field for dogs to be exercised.

The Haybarn Country Inn Pub is also on the site and serves local ales and good value meals. It has a pleasant beer garden where visitors can enjoy the scenic views looking out over Wansfell. The site also offers free Wifi to all its guests.
