Details for Land Ends Country Lodges

Long Ships Cabin in the snow
Land Ends Lodge

Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park and close by scenic Ullswater is this superb country lodge park. Covering over 25 acres of woodland and gardens , and including two lakes within its borders this is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

All our log cabins benefit from the recently installed biomass full central heating which ensures a comfortable temperature is maintained all year round. The cabins can sleep between three and five adults in comfort and up to two well behaved dos are welcome per cabin. The two larger cabins have two en suite bedrooms with a sofa bed in the lounge for a fifth person, the smaller cabins have a double bedroom and a bed settee for a third person in the lounge. All the cabins are furnished to a high standard and each have a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials for a self catering holiday. For larger groups the park also has a country lodge barn conversion which can sleep up to 16 people over 9 en suite bedrooms.

This is a great place for nature lovers as the park has many species of birds including heron, curlew, owls and moorhens, and visitors are quite likely to spot local wildlife such as red squirrels, badgers, hares and deers. The village of Pooley Bridge is just a few miles away and has pubs and shops to explore. The 65 feet high waterfall of Aira Force is within walking distance and is reached by strolling through a lovely glade - a perfect spot for a picnic. Take a trip across Ullswater on one of the steamers which traverse the lake. Lowther Castle with its Bird of Prey centre is a great destination for a day out for all the family.
