Situated on the banks of the River Afon, close by Beddgelert Forest and just a mile and half from the lovely village of Beddgelert in the middle of the scenic Snowdonia National Park is the well appointed Colwyn Lodge.

This delightful lodge is within the grounds of Hafod Wydr Farm where the owners live and enjoys views of Snowdon and Moel Hebog. The accommodation comprises of an open plan living area and kitchen with a double bedroom having en-suite facilities. There is wood panelled flooring throughout the lodge. The kitchen has all the appliances needed for a relaxing self catering holiday and basic items such as tea, coffee, washing up liquid and condiments are all provided. There is a Freeview television, CD and DVD player and a selection of games and books for guests to use. The lodge benefits from free Wi-fi access for visitors. Well behaved pets are welcome here at no extra charge and dog bowls are provided and if necessary pet bedding and towels can be supplied. Being next to the forest there are lots of trails to take dogs for walks and they can enjoy the private garden.

The lodge makes a great bases for walkers of all abilities, there being miles of routes around the hills and lakes in this picturesque area. Mountain bikers will love the fact many forest bike routes are close at hand and with the lodge being right on the banks of the river, anglers can set up their tackle and begin fishing without having to use the car. There is a secure bike / kayak store as well as private parking at the lodge. In the surrounding area are many attractions and wonderful countryside to explore.
