Lincolnshire launches its annual Food and Drink Guide

The Food & Drink Lincolnshire Guide has recently been launched in the city of Lincoln and includes some of the cities finest places to eat within its pages. The booklet is free and has the backing of the Lincolnshire County Council Executive in the form of Councillor Colin Davie, the member for Economic Development. Many restaurants, shops, tourist information offices and hotels throughout both the city of Lincoln and the county of Lincolnshire will stock the guide.

Among the establishments from Lincoln featured within the guide are Steep Hill's Wig and Mitre, The Rest Hotel's Coffee Shop and the Reform restaurant in The Castle Hotel. Other fine eateries such as the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa are also featured. At the launch, the Managing Director of the Food and Drink Guide, Robin Fry stated that Lincolnshire has a great deal to be proud of for its eateries and restaurants but maybe needs to advertise them more. Not many people are aware of the fact that Lincolnshire is the largest producer of food and drink in the country and the guide is hoping to show that to customers.

Councillor Davie noted that a large part of Lincolnshire's economy relies upon income from food and drink, and the guide will enhance the message regarding the quality of the county's food output. Recently the Lincolnshire Sausage Festival which attracted huge numbers of visitors was an example of what the county can produce and the guide can help spread the word both within the county and further afield.

To complement the guide there is a website and a free to download app which contains restaurant reviews, details of opening times, photographs etc of establishments throughout Lincolnshire and also the whole of the UK.
