Details for Jimmys Farm

Positioned near Wherstead in the county of Suffolk and just a few miles south of the county town of Ipswich is Jimmy's Farm. It is a great destination for all the family to have a fun packed and educational day out.

You may be already familiar with the farm as it has featured on several television programmes over the last few years but nothing beats coming and meeting the animals and looking around the place first hand. Children will love to feed and pet the farm animals and this year has seen the birth of Pygmy goats, cute piglets, lambs and a lovely Red Poll calf.

As well as the rare breed pigs which the farm is famous for there are a variety of animals to see including peacocks, alpacas, goats, rabbits, rheas and turkeys. Take a stroll through the butterfly house and see how many brightly coloured specimens you can spot amongst the exotic flowers. Keep an eye out for tropical fish in the pool here as well.

Youngsters can burn off some energy in the play areas which feature a giant sandpit, a wooden playground complete with slides, a hobbit house where they can exercise their imagination and an adventure play area with zip wire, bouncy animals and play vehicles. Take the Sky Walk where you will be shown the collection of rare breed pigs around the farm. If you fancy building a den then head to the woods and construct your own shelter in the glades. During the holidays there will be a chance for children to learn how to fish at one of our ponds. There is a farm shop for visitors to purchase some of our lovely produce. Treat yourself to a meat box - perfect for a barbecue, or try a pack of the sausage of the month, you will not be disappointed.
