Off Road Hacking

Located at Turton just a few miles north of Bolton in Lancashire is the horse riding stables and yard of Red Earth Equestrian Centre. Here we can offer horse riding lessons for all ages and abilities.

Novices and complete beginners are more than welcome as are all riders whatever their experience. There are lessons especially designed for the younger rider and those with similar abilities to help improve their confidence in the saddle and bring their riding skills up to the next level. We encourage children to become more involved with their horse and assist with getting the horse ready for the lesson by tacking up and then after the lesson or hack they can untack the horse and put them back in their stalls. This builds a real understanding between horse and rider and of course is always done under the watchful eye of one of our friendly qualified instructors.

The centre has a private road which links up to one of the most scenic bridleway routes in the North West which we use for off road hacking where pupils can put into practice the lessons they have been taught in the arena.

In addition to riding lessons, the centre can also offer instruction in dressage, cross country and show jumping. The lessons in these disciplines can be tailored to suit the pupil whether they are just starting out or have plenty of experience. There is a floodlit arena which is perfect for dressage training and we have lots of fence combinations to help the aspiring show jumper or cross country enthusiast move up to the next level.
